Learn to Create the Sound

This after-school program teaches mixing, mastering, and music production skills. Students prep for college-level courses and entry-level studio jobs.

  • Open to students interested in learning woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments. No prior experience needed—just a passion for music! Currently serving 38 students and welcoming more!

  • Our rehearsals and classes are designed to fit into students’ academic schedules while providing consistent, high-quality training.

100 years of miles davis

Celebrating 100 years of Miles Davis, this concert showcases some of the brilliant work from the vast, expansive catalogue of the greatest composer in the history of our country. An icon in not just jazz, but in fashion, pop culture, art, and multiple genres of music, this string quartet concert, unlike any other, celebrates Miles Davis’ legacy.

D-Composed is a Chicago-based Black chamber music collective that celebrates Black culture and creativity through the music of Black composers.

dance & house music

Once a month on the first Friday, we bring the community together to celebrate culture, wellness, and creativity. Each gathering features a different genre of music, free dance classes, & live music provided by local Chicago artists.

June Guests: Sir Mel Hammond has cultivated a unique brand of “Electro-Funk” that defines his rhythmic harmony, deep, sultry vocals & sophisticated “tech house” tracks. His mission remains centered on delivering "Deep House for Deep People."

 

Andre McCaskey is a Chicago native & dancer creatively rooted in Chicago house music culture, with a passion for movement & self-expression. Through dance, we bring the energy that unites people.
