BandWith’s free performing arts programs will be moving into a permanent home, to open in the fall of 2024. Through a generous gift from the Glasser & Rosenthal families, BandWith was able to purchase a 25,000 sq. ft. building in East Garfield Park. However, we need your help to complete the project!
SERVING OUR COMMUNITY
Since its inception, BandWith has addressed the need for access to music and creativity in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood. Annie Palomino launched BandWith when the band program was dropped from LEARN Campbell Charter School due to budget cuts. Starting a nonprofit allowed Annie to continue providing free access to music instruction to students at the LEARN Campbell Campus while increasing reach to new students.

LOLLAPALOZZA
Music In The Key of Chicago
You heard us right! In support of Chicago's diverse and legendary music industry, Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), and BandWith Chicago teamed up to bring the local music scene to Lollapalooza. BandWith students opened Music in the Key of Chicago with 10 mins of pure excitement and joy from our Hope Jr. Drumline and WestDance team, followed by specially curated performances by Chicago-area artists and talent. We were so honored for this opportunity to help represent our beautiful city.

PROVIDING PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION
BandWith’s free programs are located in East Garfield Park. They include our longest standing program, the Titan Band, within LEARN Charter School, and our after-school program at Marillac St. Vincent's Youth Center, Hope Jr. Our after-school performing arts program consists of All-Star Band, Drumline, WestDance, and Studio Engineering.
